Modern Religious Experience: Reflection #9: The Incarnation of God

             I think Jesus is the king or the savior of the Jews. In songs and stories say he is the savior of all the Jews and that he is mighty and great. Also how that he will bring peace to the world and take all the sins of the people in the world. 

             In my song, 'Mary's Boy Child', Jesus is described as a King and all the greatness he brings to his world. The one of the verses, Hark now hear... because of Christmas day', it emphasizes that he is a new king that will allow man to live for evermore. This is because he will take all the sins from the people and allow the men to be forgiven. 

             After viewing 'The Nativity Story' it showed that Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, and the Persians had to have faith in what they believed. For example Joseph. When Mary came back pregnant, Joseph thought that Mary had an affair with some other man, but Mary told Joseph that it was the son of the God. Therefore, he goes through many difficulties, but eventually safely gave birth to a blessed child Jesus. Again Jesus is described as a new king as he is gave those two presents as soon he as born. 

             I think God came down as a baby, because it would be much easier for people to have faith in the person that they known for years since a baby than a random man that claims he is a God. Also I think that God chose this method because he wanted to show the people that he is willing to help the people on earth and by coming as a baby he is showing that he will go through hard times in life, experiencing the pain that people go through and help them get out of the suffering.
